  15.      _x_l_v__s_h_u_t_d_o_w_n is used to gracefully shut down (``disassemble'') logical
  16.      volumes after their corresponding filesystems have been unmounted.  It is
  17.      called by /_e_t_c/_u_m_o_u_n_t_f_s, which is called by /_e_t_c/_i_n_i_t_t_a_b at system
  18.      shutdown time.  _x_l_v__s_h_u_t_d_o_w_n typically does not need to be explicitly
  19.      invoked.

  21.      _x_l_v__s_h_u_t_d_o_w_n gets the XLV volumes from the kernel and cleanly shuts them
  22.      down.  This ensures that all the plexes in a volume are in sync so that
  23.      they do not need to be revived when restarted.  After a volume has been
  24.      shut down, _x_l_v__a_s_s_e_m_b_l_e(1M) needs be run before using the volume again.
  25.      Note that _x_l_v__s_h_u_t_d_o_w_n does not shut down a root volume or volumes with
  26.      mounted filesystems.

  28.      _x_l_v__s_h_u_t_d_o_w_n supports the following options:

  30.      ----ffff               Forcefully shut down of all volumes, even volumes that
  31.                       are open. Use this option with caution.

  33.      ----nnnn _v_o_l_u_m_e-_l_i_s_t   Shut down only a comma separated list of volumes. The
  34.                       default behavior is to close down all possible volumes.

  36.      ----vvvv               Display verbose status messages.
